Butow
*E* was approved at Nuemunster in 1983. He completed his
100-Day Test at Klosterhof Medingen placing in the top five.
He was then imported to North America as a five year old.
Butow *E* was ranked in the top 5% of stallions of all breeds
for producing dressage horses in the U.S. by the Sporthorse
Owner's and Breeder's Association. He has four sons
approved for breeding by the American Trakehner Association and
one approved son by the Oldenburg Registry. His daughter
Norita *M* was the first mare to receive Model Mare status by
the ATA. Butow *E* is one of the first ATA stallions to
received "Elite" status.
Butow *E* is known
for passing on his outgoing and workmanlike attitude, his
natural engagement and impulsion, his athletic ability, and
excellent gaits.
Butow *E* died at
Rolling Oak Farm in Elgin, Illinois at the age of 27.
