The lovely mare Esna by the famous Shayga Arabian stallion Balaton, out of the State Premium mare Elagin was imported from Germany by Tylord Farm as a yearling after she received a "perfect score" of 1,1 (old German scoring system).  She was also the full-sister to the 1985 Verband approved stallion, El-Zid

In 1983, Esna placed 2nd in the Three Year Old Fillies Class, and also came in 2nd in the Three Year Old under saddle class at Dressage at Devon.  In 1984 she was 4th in the mare class at Devon.  In addition, many of her offspring have also won at Devon. Her colt by Laiken was "Get of Sire", her filly by Laiken was 7th for "yearling fillies" at Deven, and her colt Esquire by Enrico Caruso was the "1998 USDF Horse of the Year" - Third Level Open and ATA's Reserve Champion at 3rd Level.

Esna produced a total of 12 foals during her breeding career and retired as an ATA Honor Roll Mare with the ATA.
